What is collagen used for?
The collagen is a protein that the body produces naturally and is key for the structure and elasticity of the skin, as well as for the health of bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It acts as a "glue" that holds these tissues together.
Why combine it with hyaluronic acid?
To ensure the effectiveness of collagen!
When combining both:
- Hyaluronic acid maintains hydration, which improves skin elasticity and facilitates better integration of collagen into tissues.
- Together, they can enhance cellular regeneration and amplify the benefits for the health of skin, joints, and connective tissues.
What foods do contain collagen?
Some foods that can provide you with collagen include:
- Bone broth
- Meats (especially cuts with skin or cartilage, like chicken and turkey)
- Fish (especially the skin and bones)
- Citrus fruits (do not contain collagen, but their vitamin C promotes its production)
- Red and purple fruits (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- Leafy green vegetables (like spinach and kale)
- Nuts and seeds (rich in zinc and copper, which help in collagen synthesis)
Why should I take dietary supplements?
With the current pace of life, where it is often difficult to eat a balanced diet and obtain all the necessary nutrients through daily meals, it is highly advisable to incorporate dietary supplements into our daily routine.
Many people do not consume enough essential nutrients, and supplements can help fill those nutritional gaps, supporting overall health and preventing deficiencies.
When is the best moment to take collagen?
Uno de los momentos más comunes para tomar colágeno es por la noche antes de dormir.
Sin embargo, también puedes tomarlo después de una actividad física para beneficiarte de las propiedades recuperadoras del colágeno.
Who is recommended to take collagen?
Collagen is recommended for everyone, as it is an essential protein for maintaining the health of the skin, bones, joints, and muscles. However, it is especially beneficial for:
- Older adults: As we age, collagen production decreases, affecting skin firmness and joint health.
- Athletes: Those who engage in intense physical activity can benefit from collagen to strengthen tendons, ligaments, and joints, improving recovery and preventing injuries.
- People with joint problems: Those suffering from joint pain or arthritis may find relief, as collagen helps improve flexibility and mobility.
- Those looking to care for their skin: It is ideal for those who wish to maintain firm, hydrated skin with fewer wrinkles, as collagen improves elasticity and the appearance of the skin.
