This puff pastry Christmas tree is a delicious Christmas recipe that you can enjoy guilt-free. INGREDIENTS
| JustLoading* cocoa, hazelnut and date cream | 40 g |
| Puff pastry sheets | 100 g |
| Eggs | 50 g |
| Sweetener | 1 cdta |
Instructions for making your Puff Pastry Christmas Tree
- Spread the puff pastry sheets: Place the puff pastry sheets on a flat surface and spread them with the JustLoading cocoa, hazelnut and date cream until they are completely covered.
- Place the second layer: Once the sheet is covered, place another sheet of puff pastry on top and press lightly so that it sticks together.
- Cut and shape the tree: Cut the puff pastry into long strips that you will place in an ‘S’ shape to simulate the Christmas tree. Place a toothpick at the base to give stability.
- Make the star: Use one of the leftover strips to cut out a star with a mould. Place it on the top of the tree.
- Bake: Brush the tree with beaten egg and sprinkle with sweetener. Bake in a preheated oven at 210°C for 15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and crispy.
Tips for an even more delicious Christmas tree
- Make it more festive: You can add a little cinnamon to the sweetener to give it a more Christmassy touch.
- Customise the toppings: If you prefer a more decorated tree, add some toppings such as dried fruit or chocolate chips.
- Substitute puff pastry: If you're looking for a gluten-free option, use gluten-free puff pastry available in speciality shops.
